Why is road safety important? Road safety refers to the precautions taken to lessen the possibility of traffic-related fatalities and injuries.
- In India itself about eighty thousand people are killed in road crashes every year which is thirteen percent of the total fatality all over the world. Man behind the wheel plays an important role in most of the crashes.
- The majority of crashes are caused by either driver negligence or a lack of awareness about road safety. Thus, learning road safety is just as important as learning any other fundamental survival skill.
- Our goal is to decrease the annual number of fatalities and injuries on our roads by educating drivers about road safety and promoting safer driving practices among present and potential drivers.
